According to the WorkPEI Employment Analysis, about 15,100 people worked in Healthcare and Social Assistance on PEI in February 2025.
A great way to explore healthcare options is to check out the 2020 Guide of Health Professions published by the Government of PEI’s Health and Wellness department. The guide features key information about more than 60 health career opportunities on PEI. This includes 13 different fields, plus health careers in the private and non-profit sectors.
