The Team Food Island program gives students an opportunity to earn a bonus towards their post-secondary education while they earn a wage working for a participating agriculture, aquaculture, or seafood company.
Students going into grades 10, 11 or 12 in the fall are paid a $1,000 completion bonus by the employer upon completion of their work term, which is a minimum of 250 hours.
Post-Secondary students starting or returning to post-secondary studies in the fall are paid a $2,000 bonus upon completion of a minimum of 500 hours (or 250 hours for those graduating from grade 12 this year).
