Study Abroad Canada College is a private post-secondary institution and language school located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, at 149 Mount Edward Road, 4th Floor. The college offers career training and English language programs that support workforce participation and skills development in PEI.
One of our main programs is the Resident Care Worker (RCW) Training Program, a 32-week certificate designed to prepare students for employment in healthcare settings across the province. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical placements and leads to opportunities in long-term care, home and community care, mental health, acute care, and public-sector environments. Unlike many other RCW programs, all required certifications are included within the program itself, including CPR, First Aid, GPA, TLR, and WHMIS, so students are not required to complete these certifications prior to admission.
For permanent residents and Canadian citizens, the RCW program may be eligible for funding through Skills PEI. In approved cases, Skills PEI can cover 100% of the tuition, making this program a strong opportunity for members of the local community to access professional training and build a career in a high-demand sector.
Study Abroad Canada College also offers the Professional English Language Training program, funded by the Government of Prince Edward Island. This program is designed to help newcomers develop career-focused English language skills and cultural knowledge to support workplace success in PEI. It is open to permanent residents and work permit holders with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 4 or higher.
In addition, the college operates as a language school offering international English programs, including the Intensive English Program and short-term group programs.
