Red Shores offers a variety of positions in two regions on PEI

Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown and Red Shores at Summerside offer horse racing, gaming, and dining experiences.

Red Shores is part of Atlantic Lottery Corporation, which has over 600 employees in all four Atlantic provinces. Red Shores employs more than 250 people on PEI.

Employment opportunities

“Our recruitment needs change depending on the time of year. We begin advertising for our busy season in April,” says Kelly Feehan, Executive Assistant to the General Manager, and HR Recruiter. “Because we have so many different lines of business, we have many different positions to fill.

“One of the biggest positions for the summer is Racetrack Parimutuel Seller, who sells tickets during live racing. This is an entry-level job, which would suit someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and has some experience handling money.

“There is also a beverage section, where we need Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, Cooks, Dishwashers, Food and Beverage Supervisors.

“We are open year-round, but many of these positions are casual or part-time during the off-season. We get a lot busier in the summer.”

Staff titles

Casino: Slot Attendant, Table Dealer

Cage and Count: Casino Cashier

Racing: Racetrack Seller, Administrative Assistant, Clerk of Course, Race Secretary, Track Maintenance, Racing Guest Experience Coordinator, and more

Dining: Host, Bartender, Server, Cooks, Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Chef

Administration: Human Resources, Executive Assistant, Marketing, Audit & Accountant, Security, Facilities, Maintenance, Surveillance, PlayWise Advisor, Safety and Compliance Officer

Leadership roles: Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager

Experience needed

All employees must be at least 19 years old. For Servers, taking the Responsible Beverage Service program is recommended. All positions receive training.
