Wyman’s has seasonal and year-round employees

January 10, 2025

by Heidi Riley

Wyman’s is one of the world’s largest suppliers of wild blueberries.

The company has approximately 80 year-round employees at the processing plant located between Morell and Mount Stewart, and at farming operations on PEI.

An additional 140 seasonal employees are hired during blueberry harvest season. Those hired to work during harvest season work from around the beginning of August until mid-September.

Seasonal positions include:

  • Forklift Operators
  • Quality Control Technicians
  • Production Supervisors
  • Scale Operators
  • Cleaners
  • General Labourers

During the harvest season, the plant operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All employees are required to work 12-hour shifts two to six days a week.

“There are a lot of hours available with competitive wages,” says Lori Axworthy, Human Resources Manager. “Harvest is an exciting time, and it’s rewarding to be a part of it.”
