March 11, 2021 – Holland College: Holland College students will be back on campuses and in centres across the Island full time in September, Holland College president Dr. Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald announced today, noting that there will be extensive COVID-19 protocols in place.
The college will continue to utilize public health measures such as physical distancing, mandatory mask use, social hygiene, and enhanced cleaning guidelines to support the health and safety of staff and students. Other protocols which are currently in place will continue, including the mandatory use of non-medical masks in indoor spaces and building access restrictions.
Students will be divided into cohorts of up to 50 people including faculty, however most class sizes are significantly smaller. Interactions between cohorts will be minimized through scheduling and dedicated space assignments, where possible.
In addition to face-to-face delivery, some programs will offer opportunities for blended or technology-enhanced learning in some courses.
