Food Island Partnership welcomed Food Bloggers of Canada to Canada’s Food Island to showcase the culinary excellence on the island. What an incredible journey exploring the people, passion, and products that make Canada’s Food Island so special! We started with the ocean’s finest—learning about PEI Mussels from Trever at Prince Edward Aqua Farms, followed by oysters with Devan at Raspberry Point Oysters. Next, Nick Chindamo took us foraging, sharing his wealth of knowledge and introducing us to 30+ locally sourced ingredients.
Our adventure didn’t stop there! We enjoyed a mouthwatering farm-to-fork lunch with Chef Alex and Kelly from North Shore Canteen, before meeting 6th-generation farmer Andrew Smith, who shared the legacy of PEI potatoes. David & Brett Francis then gave us a deep dive into beef farming, sustainability, and their 2017 Telsa Sustainability Award journey, and we wrapped up with Bruce & Andree from Atlantic Beef Products.
