Find out about businesses in Atlantic Canada that may be hiring
Huddle Insights is a podcast hosted by Don Mills and David Campbell which explores business news in Atlantic Canada. A recent episode focuses on the PEI company BioVectra and features an interview with company CEO Oliver Technow.
In November 2021, BioVectra announced plans to expand and develop an $80 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to manufacture mRNA vaccines and therapeutics. The expansion will allow the production of up to 160 million doses of a mRNA vaccine per year and will mean hiring 125 new staff members.

Get to know local PEI businesses
Bizy in the Sticks is a podcast about rural people and rural businesses. The podcast team includes Lori MacGregor and Sandra Hodder Acorn from the Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce and Tammy Rix and Kester Nurse from the West Prince Chamber of Commerce.
“The podcast highlights major issues, successes, uniqueness of our membership and community small and medium enterprises in addition to tying in labour market issues,” says Kester.
The hosts encourage listeners to shop local by promoting the products and services offered by small businesses across rural PEI. Entrepreneurs also talk about how they started their business and the programs and financial help they received.
There is even an episode about making post-secondary decisions with input from a student and a recent graduate and Career Bridges participant. The podcast also promotes Chamber events and shares advice and news to members.
The podcast is a tool of the Rural PEI Labour Market Development partnership, which is a joint effort between the Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce and the West Prince Chamber of Commerce.
