Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) promotes employment inclusion for people with disabilities and celebrates the many and varied contributions of workers with disabilities.
By proclaiming DEAM in our province, we hope to help educate PEI businesses, employers, and human resource professionals about disability employment issues and strategies to foster disability-friendly work cultures.
“We want to spread the important message that a strong workforce is inclusive of the skills and talents of all individuals, including people with disabilities,” says Devon Broome, Employment Services Manager at PEICOD.
“DEAM is an excellent opportunity for employment service providers and PEI employers to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to Islanders with disabilities and to help promote employment inclusion in our province.”
