Leslie and Tammy Hambly are the proud owners of Inn the Woods Cottages. This beautiful cottage resort is hidden in the hills of Long River, only minutes from Kensington.
The cottages are in a unique and peaceful setting, while located close to gorgeous north shore beaches, attractions, and fabulous dining experiences.
Before purchasing the cottage business here on PEI, Leslie and Tammy successfully owned and operated rental properties in Ontario. So why did they invest on PEI, specifically the Kensington area?
Leslie’s love and passion for the Island started at a young age. Frequent family trips from Ontario fueled his desire to one day live on PEI. The family has deep roots on the Island. Their ancestors first arrived on PEI in the late 1700s. Only after purchasing the cottage business did they learn that Leslie’s great-grandmother was a resident of Kensington.
After a family vacation to PEI in 2018, they decided it was time to follow their dream, and they purchased Inn the Woods Cottages.
The rolling hills, beautiful seascapes, and jaw dropping sunsets are just a few of the factors that inspired their dream of living on PEI. Ultimately, it was the local people and newly created friendships that truly cemented the decision. The draw to live here on PEI finally won. Leslie is now living here full time, and Tammy will join him soon.
While not at the cottages, you will find them out exploring the Island and capturing moments with their love for photography. They both enjoy the outdoors, playing musical instruments, and taking part in new adventures.
Inn the Woods Cottages is now open for business, after establishing a COVID-19 Operational Plan and working closely with the Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce.
Leslie and Tammy encourage Islanders to consider a staycation at the cottages.
