Learning Disabilities Association of PEI (LDAPEI)

For parents of children with diagnosed or undiagnosed learning disabilities or difficulties, LDAPEI offers advocacy, information, and learning support. Additionally, certified tutors provide learning support via tutoring in reading/spelling and math. Additional other curriculum subjects such as academic math and academic writing are supported as needed.

The Barton Reading and Spelling Program: Tutors work one-on-one supporting students with reading and spelling issues at the student’s pace. Students learn foundational skills via an open researched Orton-Gillingham influenced program.

The JUMP Math Program: Tutors deliver a math program in support of current curriculum to students at their own pace. The tutor makes the learning process fun while developing the skills and confidence of each student.

All tutoring is provided one-on-one at $45 per session of up to one hour. Fees are invoiced monthly. Registration is through the LDAPEI website.

The same programs are available for adults with a diagnosed or undiagnosed learning disability.
