Trinity Energy Group is one of the largest building envelope and energy efficiency companies in Atlantic Canada. Based in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, the company has recently expanded and has opened an office in Charlottetown.
“We have purchased a building on 4th Street in Charlottetown, and we currently have seven employees working there,” says Rodney Misener, Vice President Operations. “We plan to get bigger and better.”
In Charlottetown, the company administers insulation programs installing residential heat pumps, and they also install commercial and industrial spray foam and cellulose insulation, fireproofing and firestopping.
Hiring needs
Currently, the company has about 120 employees.
On PEI, they are looking to hire Insulation Technicians, Labourers, Red Seal HVAC Technicians, and Apprentices.

“For our Insulation Technicians and Labourers, we do 90 percent of the training in-house, so it is open to anyone,” says Rodney.
“We want to encourage those who moved out west to move back home. There are good-paying jobs here on PEI, and there is a lot of work to do on the Island.
“Our business is built around saving our customers money. We help you insulate your home and install energy efficient equipment, so it is a very fulfilling job. We administer a lot of government programs for low-income individuals who otherwise could not afford to do it.”
