Receiver Coffee Company, which opened in 2014, roasts its own coffee and sells specialty coffees, teas and baked goods, as well as breakfast and lunch menu items.
The three locations in Charlottetown on Water Street, Victoria Row, and Milky Way are open year-round, and there is also a seasonal location on the Cavendish Boardwalk.
“This year, we are adding a kitchen to the Cavendish location, and we will be offering takeout breakfast and lunch there as well,” says Christopher Francis, one of the Owners.
“There are about 35 employees, and that number will double in the summer,” says Christopher. “In summertime we get very busy very quickly.
“We are hiring for positions in the Kitchen, Bakery, Front of House, as well as Servers and Baristas. We look for energetic team players who want to work mostly full-time. We need people who are passionate about creating quality products, and who deliver a level of service that matches that quality. Other assets include great communication skills, hard-working, problem-solving abilities, and taking pride in their work.
“With our baking, we take a very strict, precise approach. We love hiring people with previous baking experience – that is always an asset. The timeline for this position starts very early – midnight or 2 am until about 7 am.
“It is a lot of fun to work in this environment. It is a nice opportunity to work with organics and high-quality local ingredients, which is important for our brand.”
