PEI has a red-hot job market for those planning their career

The job market on PEI is very promising for those planning their career and building a life here.

A recent report by Atlantic Provinces Economic Council indicated labour shortages on PEI and across the Atlantic provinces are being reported in all sectors from low wage to high wage industries, entry-level positions to those requiring years of experience.

The Employment Journey staff have been attending Home Shows, Job Fairs, and getting out there and talking with employers. The message is the same to job seekers- if you inquire about employment with employers on PEI and if you seem to be a good fit, employers will work with you to find a place for you within their work setting.

This publication is full of messages of opportunity from employers across the province. Here on our front page are three of the 70 exhibitors who attended the PEI Provincial Home Show that recently took place in Charlottetown.

“Exhibitors reported that visitors were engaged and ready to buy,” says Show Manager Brian McKiel. “The home industry is huge.”
