The PEI Army Primary Reserve offers full-time and part-time employment. You will learn valuable leadership and other skills while serving your community and your country. As a Reservist, you will typically serve with the Army Reserve 30 to 45 days a year.
“The PEI Army Reserve offers full-time and part-time trade opportunities,” says Sgt. Justin Vincent, Recruiter. “It’s an amazing opportunity for students searching for a career path or looking for a part-time job while still attending school.
“This opportunity is also for those wanting to give back to their community while building skills for their future. We had many soldiers volunteer (paid) to help in the aftermath of the hurricane, some being students, teachers, parents, people with full-time jobs who were willing to help.
“This meant postponing work around their own homes to help their communities, businesses, schools, and roadways. As long as there was daylight, they were serving Canada before themselves.”
Trade positions include: Armoured, Signal and Logistics Officer, Armoured Soldier, Signal Operator, Line Technician, Human Resource Administrator, Financial Service Administrator, Weapons Technician, Vehicle Technician, Supply Technician, Mobile Support Equipment Operator, Medical Assistant, and Medical Technician.
