The November issue of The Employment Journey is now available! Copies have been mailed to schools, and you can also view it online here.
This month is Canada Career Month, and we are celebrating the importance of career development and the people and organizations who help put students and job seekers on the right path to a career journey that fit them. This year’s theme is Amplify – how will you choose to amplify and strengthen your job search or career development?
We know that career development transforms people’s lives in many ways, and quality career services have never been more needed. Yet, in Canada, career development is largely an unknown concept and career services remain sorely underused.
Here is a list of some resources to find services, events or information that can help students begin their career journey:
- The official Canada Career Month website maintains a list of national resources.
- And it is also Global Careers Month so check out this video that explains how career development services can help you on your career journey!
- Careers Atlantic Canada helps to explain labour market information (LMI) and offers educator/student lesson plans and videos to connect LMI to career paths.
- This article from our November publication lists the Canada Career Month events happening across PEI. Stay tuned to our calendar of events for the latest information about these events and more!
