Hiring needs
CHANCES is looking for more people to fill roles of Youth Educators in their school-age programs, as well as Special Needs Assistants in both Early Years and School Age programs.
Some exciting news
“CHANCES is planning to open an Early Years Centre along with a School Age program no later than September 2023, so we are looking for Youth Educators and Early Childhood Education staff for those programs as well,” says Melody vanOmme, Office Manager.
“Finally, Casuals working on-call fill a very important role in the effective operation of all childcare programs. Prospective employees who can’t work a set schedule but are available certain days of the week or are willing to fill in when regular staff are sick is essential.”
Melody says part-time positions can be hard to fill, especially the Youth Educator and Special Needs Assistant positions in School Age programs. “Programming takes place before and after school, so the workday is broken in half. Many post-secondary students work in these roles because they can fit these hours into their schedules.
