Spring is just around the corner, but many companies and organizations are already advertising summer jobs. For many students, these jobs are a chance to prove they are responsible, make their own income and meet new people. They also help set the groundwork for career development as students learn to network, pick up employability skills, build on their resumé, and learn about what they want for their future.
If you plan to work this summer, we suggest you speak with your school counsellor who can guide you in the right direction, and check out our page of Top tips to successfully plan a career path and search for work.
A number of government programs and funding possibilities are being advertised and can help students to find opportunities, see here.
For the latest information about opportunities including networking events and job fairs, stay tuned to our calendar of events. One event you won’t want to miss is the Tourism Job Fair happening on April 1.
