CAPEI Youth in Trades
CAPEI Youth in Trades is sponsored by the Construction Association of PEI and is funded in part by the Government of Canada. The program, which is held in Charlottetown and in Summerside, includes 30 hours per week for eight weeks of employability skills, safety training, and hands-on projects in the classroom.

They also receive an 8 to 12-week paid entry-level work placement in the construction industry. Hours are insurable and the wage is set by the employer.
CAPEI also delivers the Discover Carpentry program and the Skilled Newcomer in Construction program.
