Julie Ann says it can be a big leap to leave the security of a paycheck to become self-employed. “The pressure we put on ourselves to do it all is one of the biggest challenges in business.”
“You feel like you must hustle, and you are scared if you don’t work hard enough, you won’t be able to pay your bills. It’s a lot of pressure, and people forget they can ask for help. Trying to do it all on your own is risking failure.
“I recommend entrepreneurs have a good solid vision statement that can help in times of being overwhelmed. A statement is a reminder of what you have a passion for, and why you are self-employed. It is important to know why you are motivated as an entrepreneur, which keeps you going.”
